TERMS FOR ENTRANTS 
 
BACKGROUND: 
 
These Terms for Entrants, together with any and all other documents referred to herein, set out the terms under which users (“Entrants”) purchase tickets on our Showcase. Please read these Terms for Entrants carefully and ensure that you understand them before purchasing on our Showcase. You will be required to read and accept these Terms for Entrants when you are purchasing a ticket. If you do not agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms for Entrants, you will not be able to purchase anything on our Showcase. These Terms for Entrants, as well as any and all contracts are in the English language only. 
 
 
1. Definitions and Interpretation 
1.1 In these Terms for Entrants, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings: 
“Account” means an account required to access and/or use certain areas of our Site, including our Showcase; 
“Entrant” means a user who is purchasing a ticket on our Showcase; 
“Content” means any and all text, images, audio, video, scripts, code, software, databases, and any other form of information capable of being stored on a computer that appears on, or forms part of, our Site; 
“Competition” means a listing on our Showcase advertising a Prize; 
“Showcase” means our platform for Entrants and Prize Providers on our Site; 
“Our Site” means this website www.blitzcompetitions.com “Payment Service” means the payment service provided by Paytriot Payments; 
“Prize” means the item being advertised 
“Prize Provider” means a user who provides a Prize on our Showcase; 
“user” means a user of our Site; 
“user Content” means any Content added to our Site by a user; 
“we/us/our” means Blitz Competitions Ltd, a limited company registered in England under company number 11723577, whose registered address is 61 High Street, Rugeley, WS15 3LG trading at Hamilton house, 9 Hucknall Road, Nottingham NG5 1AE 
 
2. Access to and use of our Site 
2.1 Access to our Site is free of charge. 
2.2 It is your responsibility to make any and all arrangements necessary in order to access our Site. 
2.3 Access to our Site is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. we may alter, suspend, or discontinue our Site (or any part of it) at any time and without notice. Subject to the remainder of these Terms for Entrants, we will not be liable to you in any way if our Site (or any part of it) is unavailable at any time and for any period. 
2.4 use of our Site is also subject to our Terms of use and Terms for prize providers. Please ensure that you have read them carefully and that you understand them. 
 
3. Age Restrictions 
You may only make purchases on our Showcase if you are at least 18 years of age. 
 
4. Our Showcase 
4.1 You hereby acknowledge and agree that: 
4.1.1 we are not the owners of the Prize, and at no time shall have access to or be directly supplying the Prize described in the Competition. 
4.1.2 we do not pre-screen Prize Providers or any Prizes that Prize Providers place in Competitions on our Showcase, we are not, therefore, in any way responsible for any items or for the content of any Prizes; and 
4.1.3 While all Prize Providers are required to comply with our Terms for Prize Providers, which include provisions covering important matters such as payment methods, processing times, and delivery methods, all Prize Providers are different and may not process transactions within the same time frame, or offer the same delivery methods. 
 
5. Purchasing 
5.1 In order to purchase a ticket, you can register an account with us 
5.1.1 You will be asked to provide an email address, name, address, telephone number and date of birth 
5.1.2 Your email address will become your user name that you use to log into your account 
5.1.3 Only one email address per account 
5.2 Select the Competition you wish to enter and select the number of Tickets you want to purchase 
5.3 When making a purchase of a ticket for a Competition, you expressly agree that: 
5.3.1 You have read the description and all details within the relevant Listing carefully and that you understand and agree to any and all specific policies that are stated to apply by the Prize Provider; 
5.3.2 You will pay for the tickets purchased in full and on time, via Paytriot Payments; and 
5.3.3 You have provided complete and accurate delivery details to us 
5.4 Once the purchase of the ticket(s) is successful, you will be shown a multiple choice question based on skill, knowledge or judgement, follow the on-screen instructions and select your answer 
5.4.1 If the answer is correct you will be told via email that you were successful and be entered into the Competition (Entry) 
5.4.2 If the answer is incorrect you will not be entered into the Competition but you will still be charged 
5.5 In order to take advantage of a free ticket, you must send your email address, name, address, telephone number to the trading address above. State clearly which Competition you wish to apply for 
5.5.1 Only 1 per household 
5.5.2 To the maximum value of a £10 ticket only 
5.6 By email you will be sent a question and responses must be made within 72 hours 
5.6.1 Last free ticket must be received 5 days before the end of the Competition 
5.7 Clauses 5.4.1 & 5.4.2 apply and any correct answer will be treated as an Entry with the same terms and conditions as a paid ticket 
 
6. Competitions Periods and Entry 
6.1 Each Competition will run for a specified period. Each Competition will state what that will be. 
6.2 Either 
6.2.1 A specified end date 
6.2.2 Once the specified tickets have been purchased. 
6.3 It Is the Entrant’s sole responsibility to check the details entered at the time of Purchase. 
6.4 If the timescale of the Competition lapses and Ticket sales have not all been purchased the Prize Provider cannot lengthen the time period but may offer an alternative cash Prize. 
 
7. Winner Selection 
7.1 The Winner is randomly selected using a third party, randomdraws.co.uk unless otherwise agreed, and will take place within one week of the Competition closure. 
7.2 The Winners will be the first entry drawn at random from all valid entries followed by 2nd place and then 3rd 
7.3 Unless you expressly request otherwise, should you be the winner then you agree to be involved in future marketing of ours. 
7.4 The first prize Winner may be required to send photo ID to us to confirm their age, identity and to prove the initial purchase was made by a card owned by them. 
 
8. The Prize 
8.1 The Prize is subject to availability and only once the Prize Provider has contacted the Winner to confirm 
8.2 We will attempt to contact the Winner using the telephone numbers and email addresses provided at the time of Entry. If no response within 5 days, we shall publish the Winner’s name on social media for a further 5 days. 
8.2.1 If we are unable to contact the Winner or the winner is disqualified as a result of contravening any of these Terms and Conditions, the Winner will forfeit the Prize and it will be awarded to the 2nd place Winner. Any Prizes not claimed will be donated to charity. For the avoidance of doubt once the Prize has been forfeited the Winner will have no further claims against the Prize Provider. 
8.3 The Prize is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Prize Provider and where applicable to the terms of the venue and/or the manufacturer. 
8.4 To ensure only high standards are met on our site. The Prize when delivered must be in accordance with any pre-contract information that has been provided by the Prize Provider. If any Prize you have won does not comply and, for example, have faults or are damaged when you receive them which wasn’t stated on the Listing, or if what you have received is incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours to inform us of the fault, damage or error, take a photograph of the Prize, send to faults@blitzcompetitions.com 
8.5 A cash alternative of 50% of the total ticket sales for that Competition may replace the Prize if for any reason the Prize is withdrawn 
 
9. Payment Service 
9.1 All Payments on our Showcase are made through Paytriot Payments. 
9.2 Your use of the Paytriot Payments will be subject to its own terms and conditions and privacy policy. You will be required to read and accept those terms and conditions and privacy policy before making payments on our Showcase. 
9.3 By using the Paytriot Payments you acknowledge and agree to us sharing your personal information and/or information about your transactions on our Showcase with them. 
9.4 If we receive notice from Paytriot Payments that your use of our Showcase or the Payment Service is in breach of their terms or of any agreement between you and them, we may take actions including, but not limited to, those necessary to rectify your breach, removing your ability to use the Payment Service to make or accept payments on our Showcase, and/or the suspension or termination of your Account on our Site. 
9.5 Paytriot Payments reserves the right to refuse the use of the Payment Service to anyone, for any reason, and at any time. 
 
10. Delivery 
10.1 Prize Providers are required to ship items to you as soon as is reasonably possible upon direction by us when the Winner has been notified, taking into account the nature of the item(s) in question, preparation time and, where relevant, manufacturing time (if items are made or customised to order). Unless stated otherwise, the Prize Provider must dispatch items no later than 7 calendar days after the date on which the Draw takes place. 
10.2 As stated in sub-Clause 5.1.1, you must provide complete and accurate delivery details to us. The Prize Provider is responsible for ensuring that they use the delivery address exactly as you provide it, but if dispatched items do not reach you due to an incorrect address provided by you, it is your responsibility and not the Prize Provider’s or ours. 
10.3 Different delivery methods may be offered by different Prize Providers. Delivery options may include personal delivery, collection, and postal or delivery service. The final choice of delivery service is the Prize Provider’s. 
10.4 Once a Prize has been dispatched to you, we will inform you that it has been dispatched. 
10.5 Prize Providers are responsible for ensuring that they check, are aware of, and comply with all applicable shipping and customs regulations when shipping items to you. 
 
11. Your Rights to Cancel and problems with Prizes 
11.1 Please note that by buying a ticket you are consenting to us starting the interactive service immediately and any rights you may have to withdraw from or cancel your purchase (including but not limited to under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) will be lost because the performance of our services is simultaneous or begins immediately once your purchase is completed. 
11.2 We shall endeavour to ensure that Competitions are as described and in accordance with any pre-contract information that was provided to you, should the goods not conform to such, you may have the right to reject the goods in exchange for a cash prize for the amount stated within the draw in accordance with this Clause. 
11.3 If items do not conform with the requirements outlined in sub-Clause 11.2 and, for example, have faults or are damaged when you receive them or they are not delivered within a time that is reasonable. You must contact us within 24 hours to notify us of the issue. If after seeing proof we agree that the Prize does not conform and is not as described, our decision is final and the following remedies will be available to the Winner: 
11.3.1 Cash value to repair goods to the same standard it was advertised as, or compensation for prolonged delivery times 
11.3.2 Cash Prize if the damage is beyond repair 
 
12. Complaints 
12.1 We always welcome feedback from our customers and, while we always use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that your experience as a customer of ours is a positive one, we nevertheless want to hear from you if you have any cause for complaint. Please make any complaint to us in writing to complaints@blitzcompetitions.com 
 
13. Our Liability to You 
13.1 As stated above, we do not pre-screen Prize Providers or any items that Prize Providers advertise in Listings on our Showcase. We will not be responsible for any aspect of a transaction and make no warranties as to the quality, safety, or legality of any item(s) won on our Showcase. Any claims pertaining to a transaction must be made directly against the Prize Provider concerned. 
13.2 We will be responsible for any foreseeable loss or damage that you may suffer as a result of our breach of these Terms for Entrants or as a result of our negligence. 
13.3 Subject to sub-Clause 13.2, to the fullest extent permissible by law, we will not be liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, interruption to business, or for any loss of business opportunity. 
13.4 Nothing in these Terms for Entrants seeks to limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (including that of our employees, agents, or sub-contractors); or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. 
13.5 Nothing in these Terms for Entrants seeks to limit or exclude consumers’ legal rights. For more details of consumers’ legal rights, please refer to your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office. 
 
14. Data Protection 
14.1 All personal information that we may use will be collected, processed, and held in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and your rights under the GDPR. 
14.2 For complete details of our collection, processing, storage, and retention of personal data including, but not limited to, the purpose(s) for which personal data is used, the legal basis or bases for using it, details of your rights and how to exercise them, and personal data sharing (where applicable), please refer to our Privacy Policy. 
14.3 Prize Providers will also collect, hold, and process your personal information in the course of transactions (for example, your name, email address, and postal address). Prize Providers are, therefore, also considered data controllers under the GDPR and will be responsible for complying with their legal obligations and protecting your rights under the GDPR. 
 
15. Other Important Terms 
15.1 We may transfer (assign) our obligations and rights under these Terms for Entrants to a third party (this may happen, for example, if we sell our business). If this occurs, you will be informed by us in writing. Your rights under these Terms for Entrants will not be affected and our obligations under these Terms for Entrants will be transferred to the third party who will remain bound by them. 
15.2 You may not transfer (assign) your obligations and rights under these Terms for Entrants without our express written permission. 
15.3 If any of the provisions of these Terms for Entrants are found to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by any court or other authority, that / those provision(s) shall be deemed severed from the remainder of these Terms for Entrants. The remainder of these Terms for Entrants shall be valid and enforceable. 
15.4 No failure or delay by us in exercising any of our rights under these Terms for Entrants means that we have waived that right, and no waiver by us of a breach of any provision of these Terms for Entrants means that we will waive any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision. 
15.5 We may revise these Terms for Entrants from time to time in response to changes in relevant laws and other regulatory requirements. 
 
16. Law and Jurisdiction 
16.1 These Terms and Conditions, and the relationship between you and us (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the law of England & Wales. 
16.2 If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law in your country of residence. Nothing in Sub-Clause 15.1 above takes away or reduces your rights as a consumer to rely on those provisions. 
16.3 If you are a consumer, any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between you and us relating to these Terms and Conditions, or the relationship between you and us (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, as determined by your residency.
