Got a question for us?

You'll find the answers to some of our Frequently Asked Questions below. If you can’t find the info you're looking for on our website, please contact us.
How to play
Q.
How can I enter your competitions?
A.
You’ll need to sign up with us first. Then, simply pick a competition, buy your ticket(s) and answer a question correctly to enter.
Q.
How many tickets can I buy / How many times can I enter?
A.
You can buy as many tickets as you like and enter as many times as you want, subject to our overall limits for each competition. If you’re one of the first 100 people to enter a paid-for draw online, please note you’ll only receive one free credit no matter how many tickets you buy.
Q.
How do the free prize draws work?
A.
It’s simple! Each month, we’ll run a free prize draw to win a quality item such as an iPad Pro. There’ll be no charge for entering the competition, although you’ll still need to answer a question correctly to go through to the draw. Everything else works in exactly the same way as a paid-for competition, including awarding second and third prizes for each draw.
Q.
Can I buy tickets for someone else as a gift?
A.
Yes. If you get the qualifying question right, you’ll have the option to nominate someone else to receive the prize if you win. This also applies to our free monthly prize draws.
Q.
Why do I have to answer a question to enter?
A.
We’re legally obliged by the Gambling Commission to set a test of skill, knowledge or judgement to allow players to enter our competitions (this is what makes us not a lottery or a raffle). At the moment, we’re just setting questions, but in the future, we might introduce new tests like ‘Spot the Ball’ to make things even more fun!
Q.
How often do you add new competitions?
A.
We regularly add new competitions to our website, so keep an eye on our latest competitions. You’ll also find info on our social media pages – or why not sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page to get the latest updates?
Q.
What if I win a really nice car but I haven’t anywhere to keep it, I don’t drive, or I can’t afford the insurance. Can you help?
A.
Yes. We or a third party adviser will explain your options for what to do with the car, such as storage solutions or simply selling it on at market value. If we’re willing to help with costs such as insurance, this will be stated in the competition description.
Q.
Will I get confirmation of my entry?
A.
If you enter online, we’ll send you confirmation by email along with a receipt for your purchased tickets, if applicable. We’ll also let you know if you’ve gained a free credit by being one of the first 100 people to enter online. If you enter by post, you won’t receive confirmation of entry or qualify for a free credit.
Q.
How old do I need to be to enter?
A.
You must be 18 or over. We’ll ask for confirmation of this when you sign up.
Q.
What payment methods do you accept?
A.
We accept all major debit and credit cards.
Q.
How do the 100 free entries to each draw work?
A.
This applies to all our paid-for competitions. The first 100 people who pay to enter online (not by post – see below) will be given a credit to use in a different prize draw, effectively giving you free entry. Please note that our free credits are restricted to one credit per person, per draw. It’s not possible to get extra free credits by entering the same draw multiple times. Also, you can only get a free credit by paying to enter a competition – you can’t use a free credit to get another one!
Q.
Why are there different ticket prices for different competitions?
A.
The ticket prices are set with the value of the prize in mind.
Q.
What happens if I get the question wrong?
A.
We’re sorry, but you’ll forfeit the price of the tickets you’ve purchased, if applicable. There are no refunds, but you can always enter the competition again if you’re happy to buy more tickets. Please note that if you’re one of the first 100 people to enter a prize draw and you get the question wrong, you won’t receive a free credit.
Q.
What if I win a house, but already own a property?
A.
Don’t worry, we’ll put you in touch with a financial adviser who’ll help you decide what to do. We understand the stamp duty implications for people owning two or more properties and will take these into account when deciding how we might help with costs. You’ll find full details in the competition description.
Q.
Is there a way to enter paid-for competitions for free?
A.
Yes, we allow one free postal entry per person per competition – please refer to our Terms & Conditions for details. Don’t forget we also run one free prize draw every month as well as giving a free credit to the first 100 people entering each paid-for competition online. Please note that postal entries don’t qualify for free credits.
Q.
Do I have to opt in to receive marketing information from you?
A.
No, this is optional. However, you’ll need to give us your contact details and, for paid-for competitions, your payment information in order to enter. You can read about how we collect, store and use your personal details in our Privacy Policy.
Draws, prizes and winners
Q.
When do the draws take place?
A.
Each competition will be drawn either when all the tickets have been sold (within 72 hours of the final sale), or when the competition has reached its time limit, whichever comes first. We are not allowed to extend the time due to new regulations unless of unforseen circumstances.
Q.
How do I know your competitions are fair and impartial?
A.
Our standard draws are carried out by randomdraws.co.uk, an independent third party service that guarantees fair, secure and compliant results. We organise the live draws ourselves, but these are overseen by an independent adjudicator to ensure fairness and compliance.
Q.
How will my prize be collected / delivered / transferred?
A.
This depends on what you’ve won. If it’s cash, we’ll usually pay this into your preferred bank account. Items we can post, like computers and phones, will be dispatched by recorded delivery within 4 working days of the draw. If you’ve won a car, we’ll contact you to arrange for collection or delivery. For prizes that need a legal process, like a house or business, we’ll discuss the transfer of ownership with you and the prize provider and put a process in place. As noted above, we’ll deliver some prizes in person. You’ll find all the relevant details in the competition description.
Q.
Do I have to agree to take part in publicity if I win?
A.
No, although we’d love you to! When you sign up, when your contacted we will ask you if you want publicity or not. If you consent to publicity, we’ll ask you to sign a disclosure form. If you don’t sign the form, your first name, town/city, date of win and the prize will still be posted on our website, as we’re legally required to disclose brief details of your win.
Q.
If my prize will incur costs, such as car insurance or conveyancing fees, will you help with these?
A.
Sometimes, yes. If we’re willing to pay certain costs associated with your prize, these will be explained in the competition details.
Q.
What happens if I’m not happy with my prize?
A.
Our prizes are ‘sold as seen’, but occasionally problems can arise. If your item arrives with damage or defects that weren’t described in the competition details, or is obviously worth less than stated on our website, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We’ll then investigate your complaint, seeking independent advice if necessary. Once we’ve ascertained who’s at fault, we’ll then act in line with our Terms & Conditions. (If we find that we or a third party prize provider is at fault, you’ll always receive a cash payment of at least the stated value of the prize in question, on return of the rejected item.)
Q.
What happens if you don’t sell all the tickets for a paid-for competition?
A.
If a competition doesn’t sell out, the prize provider may still release the item to the winner at their discretion. Otherwise, we’ll give the winner 50% of ticket sales in cash. The second and third prize winners will always get 10% and 5% of ticket sales respectively, whether or not the competition sells out.
Q.
How will I find out if I’m a winner?
A.
If your competition is a live draw and you’re watching, you’ll know straightaway! Otherwise, we’ll be in touch within 48 hours of the draw taking place to confirm your win and discuss how your prize will be collected, delivered or transferred. Depending on the competition description, we may surprise you in person, or get in touch by email, phone or video call.
Q.
If I win an item, is there a cash alternative?
A.
No – but we do offer cash prizes from time to time.
Q.
Will I get any financial advice if I win a large prize?
A.
Yes. If you win anything over the value of £20,000, we’ll arrange for you to have a consultation for 6 months from a qualified and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorised independent financial adviser.
Q.
Can I sell my prize to someone else?
A.
Of course! If you win a prize with Blitz, it’s yours to do what you want with. This means you could win a luxury car in return for a small investment in competition tickets and sell it on at market value.
